Hot Shots: A slab of thickness 250 mm heated up uniformly

A slab of thickness 250 mm heated up uniformly to above 1,200 °C runs into a hot rolling mill to undergo forming. At the end of the rolling process, a steel strip is obtained in thicknesses between 1.2 and 20 mm and lengths from 100 m to 2 km.
