Datum: 20. Jul. 2016

In several application-focussed modules, experts will present their real-world experiences with issues revolving around material composites in the automotive, aerospace and architecture segments. Also on the agenda will be cross-industry thematic blocks emphasising manufacturing and production technologies such as the joining and combining of different materials.
Organiser Reed Exhibitions managed to bring on board the leading lightweight construction associations, institutes and clusters to serve as content partners for the event. They include the VDMA Working Group Hybrid Lightweight Technologies, CFK-Valley Stade, the AVK, the Aachen Center for Integrative Lightweight Production (AZL), the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) at the RWTH Aachen, the network kunststoffland NRW and the cluster NanoMikroWerkstoffePhotonik NRW.
At the exhibition area accompanying the Lightweight Technologies Forum, select companies will showcase their multi-material lightweight construction solutions, including Gummiwerk Kraiburg, Gunnar International Weissenberger, Linn High Therm, Saertex, Trilogiq Deutschland and Wickeder Westfalenstahl.
Featuring fibre-reinforced plastics, aluminium and magnesium, Düsseldorf from 29 November to 1 December 2016 will be largest trade fair marketplace for lightweight construction challenges in the automotive sector, aerospace, mechanical engineering, the sports and leisure industry, wind power, and the construction sector. ALUMINIUM and COMPOSITES EUROPE are a successful trade fair duo expecting a combined total of approx. 1,300 exhibitors and 35,000 experts from industry, research and development. Both trade fairs showcase new pioneering solutions for more efficiency in the production and processing of aluminium and composites – from raw materials to semi-finished goods to finished products from user industries.
With the new, jointly organised Lightweight Technologies Forum, COMPOSITES EUROPE and ALUMINIUM have managed to further enhance the supporting programme of their trade fairs, which already includes events such as the International Composites Congress (ICC) – hosted by the trade association Composites Germany – and the ALUMINIUM 2016 Conference, which is organised by the GDA, the umbrella organisation of the German aluminium industry.
