Shift in Management at SMS Elotherm North America

Effective April 1st, 2015 Mr. Valmir Tadeu Marchiori has been announced President and CEO of Tech Induction, the North American subsidiary of SMS Elotherm GmbH since 2012. Mr. Darren Martens, who has founded the company more than 25 years ago and acted as president till now, will continue to support Tech Induction's business as a consultant.

Tech Induction in Shelby Township, north of Detroit/ MI serves the entire induction market of the NAFTA region with first class OEM induction tooling, with refurbished machinery and since recently with a localized induction Hardening machine, the EloScan™, which is especially made according to the needs of the North American Market. Valmir Marchiori acted as COO of Tech Induction since end of 2014, before he was responsible as COO at ThyssenKrupp North America for the manufacturing of crankshafts for many years. Prior to this, the native Brazilian and Metallurgical Engineer worked as Crankshaft Machining Division Manager at ThyssenKrupp Campo Limpo and Mahle in Brazil. "Valmir's vast experiences in Operation and Management are strategic assets for the successful development of Tech Induction from a leading induction tooling supplier to a full line provider of induction services and machines" says Hon. Prof. Dr. Johann Rinnhofer, Managing Director of SMS Elotherm GmbH. " I will make sure to meet and exceed North American customer's demands, not only for quality induction tooling for Elotherm and other makes, but also for qualified service support with trained technicians or completely inhouse designed, assembled and commissioned induction machines, " adds Marchiori.
