By its acquisition of Hütte GmbH, schwartz GmbH of Simmerath increases manufacturing capacity by more than 60 % while expanding its production of heat treatment equipment for aluminium. schwartz GmbH thus remains aligned with today's automotive industry trend for a growing use of aluminium bodywork components.

Following its purchase of Hütte GmbH, an enterprise founded in early 2010, schwartz now holds more than approx. 6,500 m² of production area. Located in Düren in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the company has been manufacturing heat treatment systems for various industrial application fields since 2011. Today, its activities are focused mainly on the needs of the automotive industry and its tiered suppliers. A close cooperation between schwartz GmbH and Hütte GmbH had been ongoing for a number of years, with several schwartz GmbH systems having been built in Düren. The takeover of Hütte GmbH will primarily boost the company's production of heat treatment systems for aluminium, enabling schwartz GmbH to cater to automotive makers' and suppliers' increasing demand for aluminium body parts. Hütte GmbH has more than 2,500 m² of production floorspace and a workforce of 25 employees. With the acquisition of Hütte GmbH, the schwartz Group now employs close to 200 people at its five global sites. The managing director at Hütte GmbH is Mr. Bernd Gülpen who graduated in business and serves in a commercial director's capacity at schwartz GmbH.
