Abul Khair Strip Processing orders bell annealer facility from Ebner

Bangladeshi steel producer Abul Khair Strip Processing has placed an order with Ebner for a bell annealer facility with an annual capacity of 150,000 tons. The new plant will be built at the headquarter in Chittagong, Bangladesh.

The bell annealer facility for annealing cold rolled steel strip coils in pure hydrogen process atmosphere consists of 8 Hicon/H2® workbases, 4 gas-fired heating bells, 4 combined air/water cooling bells and peripheral safety systems.

This facility is one of the tallest in the world: Coils can be charged with a maximum outside diameter of 2,000 mm to a stack height of 6,700 mm.

Procurement of this bell annealer facility rounds off Abul Khair's investment in their cold rolling mill project.
